Celebrating Our 2025 Scholarship Winners!
The Mountain Artists Guild is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s Student Art Scholarships—three incredibly talented young artists who are pursuing their creative passions in higher education.
Congratulations to (left to right): Elaine Bassi, Eva Pagliasotti, Kate Swiger
Kate Swiger – $1,000 Scholarship Recipient: Kate will be attending Northern Arizona University, majoring in Fine Arts with a minor in Film and Communication. Inspired by the storytelling power of Studio Ghibli and early Disney, Kate dreams of becoming an animator who brings personality and meaning back to the screen. She hopes to raise awareness for mental health through art, creating stories that resonate deeply with audiences.
Elaine Bassi – $600 Scholarship Recipient: Elaine is pursuing an Associate of Fine Arts degree at Yavapai College, where she began dual enrollment in high school. With a dream of becoming a tattoo artist, Elaine has nurtured a passion for art since the fourth grade. Elaine’s perseverance through self-doubt and encouragement from inspiring teachers has led her to earn numerous accolades, including “Best High School Artist” for Youth Art Month. Elaine is committed to making a career out of a lifelong love for art.
Eva Pagliasotti – $500 Scholarship Recipient: Eva, a senior at Prescott High School, is also headed to Yavapai College to begin studies in art. Her AP Art portfolio explored modern interpretations of the Seven Deadly Sins, driven by real-world issues and personal experiences. With a passion for advocacy, Eva uses her art to spark conversation and aims to blend her interests in art, science, and history into a career in art conservation, galleries, or therapy.
These students represent the future of art, filled with heart, purpose, and creativity. Congratulations to Kate, Elaine, and Eva! The Mountain Artists Guild is honored to support your artistic journeys.
